Prayer Ministries
In the beginning God . Our beginning was with the God of the universe and continues with him. Through him we live and move and have our being. As plant life is connected to the ground, so must we be connected to God for our daily life. The God who created the heavens and the earth and all who dwell upon it, came in the cool of the day to talk with Adam in the garden of Eden
Think about it. The God of the universe wanting to talk with mere man. How wonderful, it was God who came , not man who went for the meeting
In old Testament days God made his presence know in the Tabernacle to the children of Israel , and gave them Priests to carry their need to God . In the new covenant Jesus become our high Priest seated at the right hand of God in heaven . Through Jesus we all have access to God 24/7. Jesus gave us a good example about prayer , as he spent much times with the Father alone day and night , many times all night. We would do well to follow his example
Mark 13:33 Jesus said, "Watch and pray". The early church did that as they gathered together for regular prayer time . In the Temple , by a river bank and in homes . They fasted and prayed for one another and for the ministry . God desires us to come and spend time with him as he did with Adam
Prayer is the lifeline of the soul and the power cord of our spirit through which the currents of God's blessing flows . Hannah connected to that blessing , and asked for a boy . God heard her prayer and gave her Samuel . Daniel in the Royal house of Persia prayed three a day , and we have the Prophetic book of Daniel
Jesus said . My house shall be called . A house of prayer of all nations
Isaiah 56 :7 God says . I will make them joyful in my house of prayer . Prayer is real joyful time for the soul of man.
